Influencester Spice VoxBox review

April 6, 2016 by realchicrealcheap

I was generously sent over a VoxBox from Influencester to review and it had so much awesome stuff in it! Y’all know how I feel about free stuff (it’s my favorite price!) and I couldn’t wait to try everything out.

Let’s start with the Soapbox Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner. I am a big fan of coconut in the first place and this stuff smells so amazing! Not like fake coconut or sunscreen, it smells like real coconut. The shampoo and conditioner are perfect for everyday use and don’t weigh my hair down at all. The coolest thing about the Soapbox company is that they donate a bar of soap or a month’s worth of clean water to someone in need. Each product has a Hope Code on it and you can plug it into their website to see what charity is being supported with your purchase. Love that my shampoo is helping provide clean water to children in India.

The Boots Organic Soapbox, Boots, Not Your MothersHydrating Day Cream which is a nice, lightweight day cream. It has a very faint floral/plant smell which is pleasant and not too strong, which is good since I don’t like strongly perfumed face creams because it can be overpowering and worries me that it will irritate my skin. The Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Rose Hip Seed Oil moisturizes my oily/combination skin all day and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. The only drawback is that this day cream does not have SPF, which I prefer for day.

Not Your Mother’s makes this amazing Whip It Up mousse which looks like whipped cream and smells like vanilla frosting. The most difficult thing about using this mousse is remembering that it is not edible! This mousse gives my oily hair some small volume and manageability, without leaving it feeling crunchy or dry. It’s perfect for everyday use.

I had used Sinful Colors nail polish before and I have liked it, so I was happy to see this new Sinful Colors line of SinfulShine polish which includes a separate shine topcoat. This is made with gel tech which helps it stay on and not chip. I put that to the test by painting my nails right before cooking Christmas dinner and the polish stayed on for almost a week even after all that cooking and dish washing! The color is really vibrant, almost too bright for me actually.

My husband and I tried the Good Health Veggie Sticks while on our road trip to DC for Christmas and they were surprisingly good. I like weird healthy snacks so I knew I would probably like them, but I was surprised that my hubby liked them as well. The bag was huge and we didn’t finish it on the drive, but they made for a nice snack on the way. I was hoping that the three colors in the bag (orange, white, and green) would correspond more with different flavors from the carrots and spinach that they are made with, but mostly they all tasked like potato. After a while they just got bland and boring so maybe try out some different flavors Good Health. Might I suggest barbecue? Yum!

This was a pretty mild winter here in Louisia
na and we don’t get a lot of cold days anyway, so I had hoped to try out these cool boot insoles from Foot Petals, but alas it was too warm in DC while I was there and not that cold in Louisiana. I love the idea of having new insoles that are soft andconform to my feet so these would Foot Petals Give Em The Bootprobably be perfect for those living in colder climates. I like that these are anti-microbial too which can cut down on stinky feet and shoes (always a fan of that).

Yogi Tea Positive Energy

I am a big fan of tea and love to curl up with a cup of black, green, or herbal tea. I usually don’t add sugar or milk so I like teas that are a little bit sweet or have good flavor all on their own (like a good green tea). These Yogi Teas are just the right touch of sweet and they are spiced black tea so they have some caffeine, hence the name Positive Energy. I drank these at my desk and they were perfect afternoon pick-me-ups without a jolt of caffeine or a sugar rush that inevitably leaves me feeling sleepy.

Overall I loved getting to try out these awesome products from Influencester. I love getting to try out new items and the best part is that these all promote a frugal and healthy lifestyle. No expensive specialty food items or beauty products that cost a fortune here. Just honest to goodness good stuff.
